The well-known and world reputed industry and academia met to mark an awarding ceremony held on January 18, 2018 at NED University of Engineering & Technology.
The University students were excited to know that some of them would be awarded scholarships from Lotte Scholarship Foundation, South Korea.
The auspicious occasion was graced by the Korean Consulate General – Mr. Kim Dong Ki, NED Vice Chancellor – Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, Chief Executive Lotte Chemical – Mr. Humair Ijaz, Executive Director Lotte Chemical – Mr. Sang Hyeon Lee, Chief Executive Lotte Kolson – Mr. Abdul Latif and numerous distinguished guests from NED, Lotte Chemical and Lotte Kolson.
In his speech, Mr. Kim Dong Ki presented his full support and cooperation by Korea in light of knowledge-sharing and strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Korea. Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi appreciated the importance of “the gesture” and strongly suggested the students to reinforce their exposure in the industry for gaining practical experience. Mr. Humair Ijaz congratulated the students and inspired them to move towards brilliance.
The purpose of the scholarships was to encourage students and recognize their efforts towards academic excellence. Scholarships were awarded on merit and need basis to twelve deserving and lucky students.
