LCPL History

1996 – Construction phase started under ICI’s supervision.

1998 – PTA Plant commissioned.

2000 – PTA business demerged from ICI Pakistan Ltd into Pakistan PTA Ltd (PPTA).

2008 – AkzoNobel acquired ICI globally, making PPTA part of AkzoNobel.

2009 – KP Chemical (Subsidiary of LOTTE) acquired PPTA, making PPTA part of LOTTE. Name changed to Lotte Pakistan PTA Ltd (LPPTA).

2012 – Co-Generation Plant commissioned. KP Chemical’s identity changed globally to Lotte Chemical.

2013 – Name changed to Lotte Chemical Pakistan Ltd.

2025 – Dubai-based PTA Global Holding — a joint venture between Montage Commodities FZCO and AsiaPak Investments — has successfully completed the acquisition of Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited.
